About Diana

Hi, I’m Diana. I’m an avid people-watcher, hopeless romantic and unrepentant daydreamer who spends far too much time gazing out the window — imagining people wrestling with life, love and emotions, and ultimately finding their way to hope and happiness. I’m also an eternal optimist, so yes — a hopeful ending is non-negotiable.

I write emotional, character-driven women’s fiction set in places that feel as real as the people who inhabit them. My stories explore themes of homecoming, healing, family ties and second chances, with romance woven through.

I live in a small coastal village north of Wellington, New Zealand, and the landscape — the sea, the light, the hills — finds its way into almost everything I write. From a sunny window seat overlooking the trees, I create stories of connection and resilience in communities like Lantern Bay, MacLeod’s Cove and in the Mackenzie family’s world.

Earlier in my career I also wrote a range of contemporary romances (including some passionate sheikh romances), and those books continue to find readers around the world. While I’ve loved writing sweeping, larger-than-life romances, I’m now drawn to stories set in familiar landscapes and rooted in real-world emotional journeys, where characters discover strength, hope, love and a sense of belonging.

Wherever you are, thank you for stepping into the worlds I’ve created and spending time with the people who live in them.

Warmest wishes,

Diana
